Don’t forget Mothers Day on the 3rd April.
Did you know that a hand-made cards have much more personal value than those mass-made by Hallmark?
LoveMemory have some beautiful examples of the best homemade Mothers Day Cards that you can have fun creating at home!

Take this card for example; it’s tiny at only 148mm x 103mm yet it makes up for it’s size with beauty!
Although this beautiful design looks as though it may be tricky – it’s actually incredibly simple!
All you’ll need to recreate this lovely design is:
• One sheet of sturdy red card at size A5 (that’s half the size of normal A4 paper).
• A few sheets of decorative paper (in a variety of colours).
• A selection of stickers, felt pieces and jewels.
Once you’ve carefully folded the A5 red card, glue down a few sheets of the decorative paper (at slightly smaller sizes each time) to create the beautiful design shown above. Then finally finish off your quaint card by adding the stickers, felt pieces and jewels (you can create your own lovely patterns utilizing these).

All you’ll need to recreate the gorgeous homemade card above is:
• One sheet of sturdy white card at size A4.
• A few pressed & dried flowers from your garden.
• A small piece of lace fabric.
Once you’ve carefully folded your A4 card in half, cut out your window design from the front facing side of the card (we recommend you draw this in pencil first so you have a guide to follow). Once this is done, rub off any pencil marks, then glue down your pressed flowers to recreate the window ledge effect above. Finally, glue on the lace fabric to the back of your window – creating a beautiful window design card, which mum is bound to love!

All you’ll need to recreate the simple handmade design is:
• One sheet of sturdy white card at size A4.
• A brightly coloured button.
• A selection of different coloured felt fabrics.
Now this card is incredibly simple to recreate; just fold your A4 card in half, then carefully cut a flower design from your fabric. If you’re struggling with cutting your flower, keep a close eye on the above photo to guide you. Once your flower is finished add the final button to it’s center and hey presto you are done!

This card is perfect for little ones; all they’ll need is:
• One sheet of sturdy bright card at size A4.
• A selection of assorted pens, felt-tips, paints and fabrics.
This is the perfect handmade card to let your children have fun with and enjoy creating their own individual designs. Let them draw their own bunny rabbits and then enjoy colouring them in with their felt-tips and paints.

Here’s an idea I bet you haven’t thought of before!
